Solid Oak staircase with Wrought Iron Balustrades
This staircase sits at the heart of a cottage kitchen and dining room, right in the entranceway — the first thing you see when you walk in. We wanted it to feel like it truly belonged in the space, complementing the character of the building while adding something special of its own.
Made entirely from solid oak, each part of the staircase has been carefully shaped and fitted by hand. The curved handrail is a real highlight — we spent time choosing oak with the right grain patterns so the lines of the wood flow naturally around the bends. It’s a subtle detail, but one that brings a real sense of craftsmanship and care.
The wrought iron balustrades add contrast and a bit of edge, while still letting the warmth and texture of the oak take centre stage. It’s a mix of traditional and modern that works really well in this kind of home — solid, timeless, and built to last.
