Exclusively sourcing managed forestry timbers from trusted French, local or North American timber suppliers. Each of our handcrafted staircases are carefully finished with natural oils, an environmentally safe choice that not only ensures ecological responsibility but also imparts a timeless and natural aesthetic. Our approach involves crafting your staircase in our workshop, pre-assembly and then delivery and final assembly on-site, minimising disruptions for you.

Our workshop, situated in Loddiswell, South Devon, TQ7 4DB, serves as our creative hub. Nature and the beauty of planet earth provide us with abundant inspiration. This inspiration becomes the driving force behind our creativity, enabling us to fashion designs that are not only unique, beautifully hand crafted and hand finished but also imbued with a life and energy of their own.

Entrusting Sebastian with the joinery for my barn conversion was a decision I still congratulate myself on. His work has greatly elevated my barn interior. What makes his work special is the combination of craftmanship and his flair for design. Small converted barns can so often be dark tight spaces in which furniture sits awkwardly whereas my barn space is incredibly light and airy, with light streaming through the windows Sebastian incorporated in the external doors and the ground floor space easy to open-up thanks to the large sliding chestnut door that disappears into the wall. Other clever tricks were used upstairs, the Gaudi inspired desk organically flowing into the stair balustrade and seeming to float above the chestnut floor Sebastian sourced and laid. His inspiration for the wooden floor was a magic carpet. Fitting it was a precision job, there’s no skirting so little room for error and Sebastian being Sebastian had ensured the French chestnut boards, bought as a boule from a contact of Sebastian’s in France, were as thick as possible and cut as wide as possible. Each floorboard he then cut to fit the width of the room on site. The floor grows more handsome by the day and has been coping admirably so far with the room’s swinging humidity levels (bath steam, a woodburner, a storage heater and wet Cornish winters). I’m delighted with Sebastian’s work and look forward to working with him again in the future.
